5 Reasons Not to Forget the Milk

Milk is one of the main things we forget when grocery shopping. Come on, we’ve all been there, right? In celebrating our 8 year support of Foodbank, here’s 5 reasons why it’s more important than ever to Not Forget the Milk next time you shop.

  1. HUNGER CRISIS IN AUSTRALIA
Hunger is often associated with homelessness, not the woman with her child beside you on the tram or your neighbours living down the street. In reality, food insecurity impacts a wide range of people in our community, from those employed who have fallen on hard times, to our youngest members heading off to school.

In fact, 1 in 5 Aussie kids are going hungry right now.*

The face of hunger is hidden yet vast and crosses communities. It doesn’t discriminate against gender, age, culture, employment or location. It affects Aussies from all walks of life.

  2. STARK STATISTICS
It’s hard to believe that in 2018 anyone living in Australia is going hungry. But the numbers show the reality.

3.6 Million Australians have experienced food insecurity in the last year.^
652,000 Australians receive food relief from Foodbank agencies every month.^
    27% of those are children.^
65,000 people are turned away every month because of food shortages.^

  3. PAULS PROUDLY SUPPORTS FOODBANK
Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation providing 67 million meals a year to over 2600 charities and 1750 schools around Australia.

Pauls is passionate about helping families and local communities. We understand the importance of nutrition more than most, and that’s why we’ve been supporting Foodbank for the last 8 years.

Last year alone Pauls provided 1 million cups of milk to help Foodbank in the fight against hunger+.

By choosing Pauls milk, you’re helping to make a difference.

  4. MILK IS GOOD FOR YOU!
We’re told from our earliest years how important milk is for us and it’s true. Milk is highly nutritious, good for your bones and a great source of protein and calcium.

Because of this, milk is particularly important for food insecure Australians, which is another reason Pauls is committed to supporting Foodbank and helping the community.

  5. DONT'T FORGET THE MILK
Understanding the hunger crisis in Australia encourages us to act for change and we couldn’t be prouder of our 8 years supporting Foodbank.

Now you understand the scale of food insecurity in Australia and the difference a glass of milk can make – next time you’re grocery shopping:
    - Don’t forget hunger is a real issue in Australia.
    - Don’t forget Pauls supports Foodbank.
    - Don’t forget to buy Pauls milk.
